In Java, "Dewi Sri" is symbol of prosperity. In a story, told that there was a village named Purwagaluh where many animals lived such as peacock (showed the "Merak Gandrung dance). People in Purwagaluh were farmer (showed the "Tanen" dance), they lived happily. Then, named Adikara and Dewi Sri who got a task to absolve people from difficulties. Buty, from first task, they had difficulties came from their great-grandparents. Dewi Sri was stolen by Sapigumarang and Singasatru.Because Adikara knew that Dewi Wri was stolen by Sapigumarang and Singasatru, he tried to release her. Told that Adikara killed Singasatru. After Sapigumarang knew that his brother died, he asked his soldier to keep Dewi Sri. In short way, Adikara successed to realease Dewi Sri. Then, people in Purwagaluh celebrated it by made a party. But,in the middle of party Sapigumarang's soldiers came back to Purwagaluh and tried to fail it. Because of that, Dewi Sri's friends faced them and they were lose, and also Sapifumarang was died. Finally, people in Purwagaluh celebrated it and called Dewi Sri as "Dewi Padi. In "Dewi Sri" Show, Dewi Sri played by Tiara Pawetri and Adikara played by Anggoro Budiman. All players tried to give their best. Before "Dewi Sri" was showed, there were Jaipong, Aduh Manis, and Jagones dance. This show was colaboration between Grisadha and Karawitan which was this was the third performance. Hope that next performance will better. Thank you. . (^-^_
